Culinary Assistant & Project Coordinator
The Culinary Assistant & Project Coordinator role requires an experienced, highly organized, diligent, and motivated individual with a passion for details, helping build systems, and seeing a project through from inception to completion. They will possess the ability to collaborate and communicate with a variety of leaders and departments within a multi-unit hospitality group.
The Culinary Assistant & Project Coordinator will work directly with the Culinary Team to document & memorialize recipes in the recipe software in an accurate and timely manner. They’ll also work on updating order guides, master production sheets, kitchen & station planograms, assist with field training when able and ensure that the culinary & kitchen teams have the needed accurate tools to execute their day-to-day shift work. This individual will need to be able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven and innovative, learning environment.
Salary Range: $85-$100K**based on experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist culinary team with all recipe documentation both written & photo/video
· Inputs recipes into recipe training software tool
· Collaborates heavily with the finance team to ensure that all systems are up to date with any and all recipe updates/changes
- Assist with training and developing key employees for growth and advancement through our culinary training program
- Assist with the tracking of all certified culinary trainers and planning dispatch to other locations for installments of the recipe software
- Execute the creation of and/or editing of kitchen system tools & documents with clear direction
· Coordinates and schedules meetings or other events, oversees meeting preparation (including invitations, drafting agenda, room and AV requirements, catering, etc.), writes and distributes recaps/minutes, executes meeting follow up and tasks
· Maintains schedules for multiple projects, working within the company calendar to ensure effective execution of timeline
· Welcomes instruction, guidance, and direction from others and can assimilate/adapt in an appropriate way
· Assist with new restaurant openings, including but not limited to coordinating culinary setup activities such as recipe documentation and system implementation, training new culinary staff on standard procedures and software tools
· Provides additional administrative support as needed
· Performs other duties and engages in other projects as assigned
Qualifications:
· Restaurant & culinary experience required, minimum of 5 years experience
· Experience using a variety of restaurant software platforms
- Able to accurately read and follow recipes to standard
· Must be comfortable working on-site in restaurants locations, with some remote work flexibility (up to one day per week)
· Proficient with computer and technology systems including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Image and video editing software, SharePoint, and OneDrive
· Experience with recipe development & documentation
· Able to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally
· Demonstrated experience in building relationships and partnerships with operational teams
· Ability to work independently when given clear direction
· Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and maintain high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
· Passionate about managing a project from inception to completion
· Exceptional time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet all required deadlines
- Capable of standing and working on your feet for eight hours or more a day in a confined area with fluctuating temperatures
- Continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and arms
