The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of the business to ensure objectives and goals are met. They are responsible for planning and monitoring the operations, including making decisions for operational activities and setting strategic goals. They are responsible for supervising team members, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively.

The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of the business to ensure objectives and goals are met. They are responsible for planning and monitoring the operations, including making decisions for operational activities and setting strategic goals. They are responsible for supervising team members, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Participates in the recruiting, hiring and training of store Team Leaders.
- Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of Team Leaders and their operations.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of team members as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the operation’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Regularly evaluates the efficiency of the operation, including sales and labor information, and adjusts activity to ensure and promote profitability.
- Reviews, analyzes, evaluates, and implements company policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
- Ensures work environments are adequate and safe, adhering to OSHA regulations.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, direct supply chain sourcing, and negotiate contracts that align with annual budget set by company leadership.
- Manage inventory levels to meet sales expectations
- Plans, directs, controls, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of sales in each store to achieve financial objectives.
- Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to Team Leaders; for major changes, meets with entire operations team members to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
- Ensure that operation complies with company, franchise, legal and established industry standards and regulations.
- Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes as needed.
- Projects a positive image of the company to team members, guests, industry, and community.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.
- Ability to communicate well across cultural and social boundaries, verbal and written communication, with ease, tact and diplomacy.
- Superior managerial and customer service skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- BS/BA in business administration or relevant field
- Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the food supply-chain including cold-chain, inventory control/distribution.
- Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines
- In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Must pass all background checks, including TSA Security.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
