Job Description

The Talent Shop has a client seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef / Chef de Cuisine with strong seafood expertise to lead our client's culinary program. This individual will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, bringing creativity, leadership, and a deep understanding of seafood-driven cuisine to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all kitchen operations, acting as both Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine
Design and execute innovative, seasonal menus with a strong emphasis on seafood
Train, mentor, and inspire a high-performing culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence
Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards across all dishes
Oversee inventory, food purchasing, and vendor relationships, particularly seafood suppliers
Manage food costs, labor budgets, and overall kitchen profitability
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Collaborate with leadership to align culinary vision with brand standards and guest expectations

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience (Chef de Cuisine, Executive Chef, or similar)
Proven expertise in seafood preparation, sourcing, and menu development
Strong track record in high-volume, upscale kitchens
Excellent leadership and team development skills
Proficiency in cost control, budgeting, and P&L management
Creativity, innovation, and passion for hospitality
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
