Assistant General Manager
Job Description
A neighborhood eatery bringing new creativity to American classics, open daily for all-day breakfast, lunch & dinner is looking for great leaders who are poised for growth as they have three new locations opening in DC and Virginia over the next 15 months.
Job Duties:
- Direct and supervise employees while executing and maintaining standards and operational excellence.
- Support the management team in all aspects of operations.
- Model hospitality and excellent guest experience instilling service standards for the team.
- Interview, train and develop staff building a positive work environment.
- Actively coach and counsel employees to include documentation when appropriate.
- Ensure effective front of house scheduling so that staffing needs are met, and labor costs are controlled.
- Collaborate with BOH team to execute safety and sanitation standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- College Degree preferred.
- 1+ years in restaurant management role
- Working knowledge of restaurant systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Aptitude to understand, interpret and positively impact financials.
- Ability to hire, train, develop and lead a diverse workforce.
- Ability to form relationships and communicate respectfully, and effectively with peers, leadership, and staff.
- Must be able to work extended hours when business need necessitate.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 100 pounds.

Dan spent 20 years serving our country, as an officer recruiter for the Navy, recruiting some of the most challenging and niche roles the country had to offer. He led a large team that made significant placements and was awarded top recruiter in the nation for three years in a row. While in the Navy, Dan earned his M.B.A., in Leadership.
After retiring from the Navy, he found a true passion for hospitality recruitment as he spent time working with high-volume restaurant groups in Washington, DC.
