Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our client's culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fine dining, food service management, and kitchen operations. This role requires a passion for culinary excellence, creativity in menu planning, and the ability to manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: $75K-$85K + Bonus
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Develop and execute innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting guest preferences.
- Manage food production processes, including inventory control, food handling, and safety protocols.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen and dining areas.
- Coordinate banquet and catering services, ensuring seamless execution of events.
- Monitor food costs and implement strategies for efficient inventory management.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance the overall guest experience through exceptional service.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients while managing costs effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within the food industry.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods.
- Strong background in restaurant management, including shift management and team leadership skills.
- Experience in menu planning, catering, and banquet services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff, guests, and vendors professionally.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred; additional certifications in food safety are advantageous.
