The Talent Shop is recruiting a Head Maître d’ on behalf of a confidential hospitality group operating a high-energy, elevated cocktail and dining concept. This role is the face of the guest experience, responsible for creating a warm, polished, and seamless arrival and dining flow for every guest.
The Head Maître d’ leads the host and reservations team while serving as the primary point of contact for VIP guests, special occasions, and high-touch service moments.

The Talent Shop is recruiting a Head Maître d’ on behalf of a confidential hospitality group operating a high-energy, elevated cocktail and dining concept. This role is the face of the guest experience, responsible for creating a warm, polished, and seamless arrival and dining flow for every guest.
The Head Maître d’ leads the host and reservations team while serving as the primary point of contact for VIP guests, special occasions, and high-touch service moments.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Hospitality
- Serve as the lead ambassador for the restaurant, setting the tone for hospitality from the moment guests arrive
- Manage reservations, seating flow, and guest wait times to maximize both guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Personally greet and engage with VIPs, regulars, and special-occasion guests
- Resolve guest concerns with warmth, professionalism, and discretion
- Hire, train, and lead the host and reservations team
- Maintain seating charts, floor plans, and table management systems
- Coordinate with management, servers, and the bar team to ensure smooth service flow
- Support floor operations during peak service
- Oversee reservation platforms, guest notes, and preference tracking
- Manage walk-in volume and large party bookings
- Partner with leadership on guest experience initiatives and service standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in upscale, high-volume restaurants or hospitality environments
- Previous Maître d’, Lead Host, or Guest Relations experience preferred
- Strong communication, presence, and emotional intelligence
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, nightlife-driven environments
- Passion for creating memorable guest experiences
