Sommelier
The Talent Shop is recruiting a Sommelier on behalf of a confidential hospitality group operating a high-energy, cocktail-driven dining concept with a strong focus on premium spirits, curated wines, and elevated guest experience. This role is ideal for a wine professional who loves engaging with guests, building thoughtful wine programs, and supporting a dynamic bar and restaurant environment.
The Sommelier will be the on-floor wine expert and a key partner to both the bar and service teams.

This role is ideal for a wine professional who loves engaging with guests, building thoughtful wine programs, and supporting a dynamic bar and restaurant environment.
The Sommelier will be the on-floor wine expert and a key partner to both the bar and service teams.
Key Responsibilities
Wine Program Leadership
- Curate, maintain, and evolve a wine list that complements bourbon-forward cocktails and elevated food menus
- Select wines that balance quality, value, and guest appeal
- Partner with leadership on purchasing, pricing, and inventory management
- Monitor wine cost, waste, and cellar organization
- Serve as the primary wine resource for guests and staff
- Provide tableside recommendations, pairings, and wine education
- Host tastings, wine features, and special pairing events
- Train FOH staff on wine knowledge, service standards, and upselling
- Support service on the floor during peak hours
- Ensure wine is properly stored, rotated, and served
- Maintain wine service tools, glassware, and presentation standards
- Collaborate with the bar team to create seamless beverage experiences
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Sommelier, Wine Director, or senior wine-focused service professional
- Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and food pairings
- Certification (CMS, WSET, or similar) preferred
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, guest-facing environment
- Passion for hospitality, education, and beverage excellence
